And another environmental award!

Pukeokahu farmers Andy and Claire Law are the Supreme winners of the 2009 Horizons Ballance Farm Environment Awards.

Andy and Claire, farm 230ha (560acres) east of Taihape, New Zealand, as part of a larger farming business run with Andy's brother, Rob.
The partnership farms 8000 stock units, including sheep, cattle, deer and goats and agroforestry on a total of 566ha (1386 acres).
The brothers also operate a Cross Slot contracting business.
Andy and Claire's farm is 600m (2,000 feet) above sea level and often gets snowfalls in winter.
Andy and Rob were one of the first Cross Slot owners in New Zealand and have owned their Cross Slot drill (serial number ...004) since 1998. Obviously its still going strong!
Our sincere congratulations to the Law family!
This brings the total to 12 national and regional environmental awards in New Zealand, Germany and USA in the last 5 years for farmers using Cross Slot.
