CROSS SLOT GLOBAL COMES TO THE PALOUSE
The 15th Annual Cross Slot Conference will be held in the Pacific Northwest in June 2010. Cross Slot owners from around the world will travel to the region to share their experiences and look at other no-tillage farms and cropping systems. Included in the week-long programme will be a farm tour day where the Cross Slot group will join with local farmers on a tour organised by the Pacific Northwest Direct Seed Association (PNDSA)). Another day will be spent with USDA-ARS and WSU staff at the Pullman and St John Research Stations and with farmers in the Direct Seed Mentor Programme.
Cross Slot no-tillage farmers from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Germany, UK and Eastern Europe have already confirmed their involvement in the programme, together with local farmers. This will be a truly international meeting of no-tillage practitioners and a unique opportunity to assess the benefits that these operators gain in a wide range of farming conditions around the globe.
