New tax offset anounced for no-tillage equipment
The Australian government has just announced a refundable tax offset for new conservation tillage farming equipment. They will provide funding up to $44 million "to encourage primary producers to adopt conservation tillage practices".
Farmers will be able to claim a 15% refundable tax offset for eligible new conservation tillage equipment installed and ready to use between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2015.
Eligible equipment includes "disc/tine and disc/blade hybrid machines" (e.g Cross Slot).
Further information on the refundable tax offset scheme will be available soon at www.cleanenergyfuture.gov.au
We strongly recommend that Australian farmers act quickly to take advantage of the benefit of this scheme to access Cross Slot no-tillage equipment. Cross Slot is the premiere no-tillage opener that has many proven benefits for no-tillage farmers.
