Cross Slot has had a working relationship with the Pacific Northwest, USA for 25 years.

The relationship started with Dr. Keith Saxton in 1985 when he was part of a research team for the USDA and WSU. He took an interest in the Cross Slot technology after visiting Cross Slot in New Zealand on his way back from Australia.

Over the years Dr. Saxton undertook many field trials and research projects, testing and proving the Cross Slot technology under a variety of Pacific Northwest conditions (climate, soil and crop).

The technology has been successfully used in the region for over 20 twenty years with one original 20 year old drill still being operated commercially in the Palouse.

The Pacific Northwest has become the strongest user of Cross Slot technology in the US with machines being used across Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

More recently, Cross Slot has been pleased to team up with local manufacturer, Agpro Inc, Idaho. Agpro recently completed a 25 foot air drill (CS3110) for custom drilling operator Kopf Custom Seeding (see photo in previous news item).

Cross Slot and Agpro will now offer potential purchasers of Cross Slot technology the choice of locally designed or Cross Slot designed drills. Either design will be locally manufactured in the Pacific Northwest, giving purchasers a cost-effective and affordable entry into Cross Slot technology.
